CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Effective Monday, May 24, the public access hours of the Kanawha County Courthouse located at 409 Virginia Street and related county government offices will resume regular public operating hours.
In addition to the main courthouse, this includes the Judicial Annex Building housing the 13th Judicial Circuit, the W. Kent Carper Public Safety Complex, and the Voter’s Registration office.
The revised hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On July 23, 2020, the public access hours for the Courthouse facilities were shortened to 11 a.m. to 4 pm due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Those limited hours are now rescinded as of Monday.
The Kanawha County Commission voted to reinstate the regular public hours during its regularly scheduled meeting on May 20, officials said.
