CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It was announced on Monday that singer, drummer, and former Beatles member Ringo Starr will be bringing his All Starr band to the Charleston Coliseum for a special performance.
The MBE recipient and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee will hit the road with his star-studded backing band, which will include highly acclaimed musicians such as guitarist Steve Lukather, known for his work with Toto, Edgar Winter, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Colin Hay, and Gregg Bissonette.
Renowned worldwide for his immediately recognizable and distinctive style of drumming, Ringo Starr also built a following during his time with The Beatles for his distinct work as a vocalist. Starr contributed lead vocals to many fan-favorite Beatles cuts such as “Octopus’s Garden,” “With a Little Help From My Friends,” and “Don’t Pass Me By,” among others.
Following the band’s notorious 1970 split, Starr embarked on a successful solo career for which he would receive his second Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2015. As a solo artist, Starr notched memorable hits such as “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Photograph,” and “Back of Boogaloo.”
Starr and his All-Starr Band will be at the Charleston Coliseum on October 9, 2023, with ticket sales beginning Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:00am. Those interested in purchasing tickets or learning more about seating and price may do so here. More information on the event can be found at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center website.
