Roger Lee Wright, Sr., 70, of Princeton passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born July 28, 1953 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Wilbur Wright and Mary Thompson Wright.
Roger was a retired construction worker for Pine Grove Builders and formerly worked for Compton Construction Company in Princeton. He was a member of Rich Creek Baptist Church in Spanishburg and a former member of the Princeton Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Roger Lee Wright, Jr., and one granddaughter, Zoey Wright.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife and high school sweetheart of 53 years, Reba Wright of Princeton; one son, Shane Wright and wife Brittania of Senoia, GA; five grandchildren, Roger Lee Wright, III, Megan Bell and husband Chase all of Parkersburg, WV, Colton Wright of Beckley, WV, Audrey Wright, and Dean Wright of Seoia, GA; special niece he considered a grandchild, Madison Howell of Matoka, WV; three brothers, Charlie Wright and wife Dreama of Princeton, Terry Wright of Florida, and Gary Wright and wife Carol of Florida; one sister, Elizabeth Wright and companion Scott Smith of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jamie Mattox, and Pastor Eric Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour on Monday. Family will serve as pallbearers.
