The city also issued a reminder to residents Tuesday morning that, due to observance the recent Christmas holiday, city trash service would be delayed one day for service throughout the week, as well as next week.
This means Monday service will occur Tuesday, Tuesday service will occur Wednesday, Wednesday service will occur Thursday, and Thursday service will occur Friday.
Friday’s downtown trash service will be the exception to the rule, however.
Finally, the City of Ronceverte announced Tuesday that some residents could expect to experience water issues in light of the discovery of a leak, “from the street shop on Monroe Avenue all the way down to the power plant.”
Water for customers in these areas was reportedly shut off to accommodate repairs, with the disruption also applying to customers across the river in the region.
The marks only the latest in a series of disruptions caused by water leaks throughout Southern West Virginia, with customers in the Raleigh County area experiencing widespread disruptions due to leaks and burst pipes.
