RONCEVERTE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Some exciting developments are on the horizon for the City of Ronceverte, as it has been announced that a brand new playground is coming to Island Park.
A unanimous vote of 7-0 by the Ronceverte City Council was secured on Wednesday and will facilitate the purchase and installation of a new playground which will serve to replace the current playground at Island Park.
“This new playground will be the first of its kind in the area, with state of the art features that will promote inclusivity and offer multiple pieces of equipment that can be used by people of all ages and abilities,” the city said in a statement.
“I’m so proud to be part of this City Council,” said Ronceverte Mayor Deena Pack. “Although each member has a different background and life experiences, we’ve been able to come together and do some really good things for Ronceverte over the last couple of years and it’s just the beginning!”
With six members of council appearing in person and one voting by phone, the unanimous 7-0 will pave the way for the instillation of the new equipment, the date of which has yet to be announced at the time of writing.
