Sabrina A. Ballard, age 62, of Mt. Hope, WV, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Born April 9, 1959 in Takoma Park, MD, she was the daughter of Arnyst (Arnie) Lilly and the late Patricia (Waddell) Kerrigan.
Sabrina loved going to the beach, and she relaxed quite often by sitting on her back deck. She enjoyed listening to her music, was an avid pool player, and was thrilled when she was able to ride on the back of a motorcycle. She was definitely the family fashionista with her vast collection of clothing, shoes, and accessories, and Sabrina had the ability to locate the most unique items while shopping at her much-loved flea markets. Sabrina loved her family and friends and was excited when they came to visit.
She was an admiring mother of three children, Anthony (Noel) Ballard of Eleanor, WV, Abby Ballard of Knoxville, TN, and Olivia (Adrian) Ayers of Beckley, and she adored her four grandchildren, Mason Ballard, Kyler Ayers, Colton Mackay and McKenna Ballard. Sabrina also left behind her wonderful father, Arnyst (Arnie) and stepmom, Nancy Lilly, of Beckley; one sister, Shelly (Bo) Whitmer of Midland, VA; two brothers, Arnyst Lilly and Aaron Lilly, both of Beckley; and four nieces and nephews, Jessie Whitmer, Jared Lilly, Kendall Lilly and Trevor Lilly. Sabrina also left behind a special aunt, Martha Butts; an uncle, Jack Smith; several caring cousins, and many loyal friends.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, David Ballard; her mother, Patricia Lilly Kerrigan, her stepdad, Dr. James Kerrigan; and her long-time partner, Raymond Hopkins.
