ROANE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Natural Resources Police Officer Clint Wilson recently wrapped up several investigations in Roane County.
In the Newton area, an anonymous complainant stated that a male suspect had killed a nine-point buck on posted land. The deer was subsequently checked in as a “landowner harvest” and the suspect had no hunting license. The suspect was located and interviewed. Citations were issued for hunting without a license, illegal possession of wildlife, and illegal checking of game.
During the first week of buck firearms season, Officer Wilson and Dunkle received information regarding two bucks that were killed on the same day in the Peniel area. After an investigation, a suspect was cited for harvesting a second buck without an RG stamp and illegal possession of wildlife.
