BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley residents have been buzzing with excitement at the news that a Sonic Drive-In will potentially be taking over the lot on Harper Road that previously housed Bojangles.
The Bojangles building has remained empty since December of 2019 when the restaurant closed its doors for good after only two-and-a-half years of business.
A representative with Sonic’s PR Agency, BCW, Ale Iraheta recently confirmed that Sonic is opening at 1910 Harper Road this fall.
Iraheta said the restaurant is looking to employ 30 to 40 people. Due to the fact that the Beckley Sonic Drive-In is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Iraheta could not say what starting wage will be. This and other employment decisions are the responsibility of the franchisee.
Crews are expected to begin construction in the coming weeks.
