MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Some Wyoming County students may experience delays returning home after school Tuesday due to an apparent situation involving an immobile train.
A statement late Tuesday afternoon from the Wyoming County Board of Education indicated the anticipatory delays, stating that parents should expect students to potentially be up to 45 minutes late returning home.
The statement, which was dated Tuesday, December 13, 2022 and intended for families of Mullens Elementary and Mullens Middle School students, alluded to a railway mishap as the source of the delay, advising,

It is unclear at this time how the train came to stranded, as well as in what ways, if any, the predicament could affect other students and schools throughout the Wyoming County area.
