BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Raleigh County Parks and Recreation and National Coal Heritage Area are announcing Tales to Trails at Dry Hill Prosperity Park.
The current book available on the Tales to Trails is When I Was Young in the Mountains; written by Cyntha Rylant and illustrated by Diana Goode, and was awarded the Caldecott Honor Metal.
A Ribbon Cutting event will be held at Dry Hill Prosperity Park on June 5, 2023 at 1:00pm.
The trail is free and open to the public. This is a great event for families to come, learn and enjoy the outdoors and stories along the trail.
Raleigh County Parks and Recreations have partnered with National Coal Heritage Area who was awarded a Beckley Area Foundation Grant for this project.
Events will be held at the paved walking trail at Dry Hill Prosperity Parks located at 1829 Maxwell Hill Rd, Beckley, WV 25801.
A copy of the book will be given to the first 10 families that attend the Ribbon Cutting event.
