WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Thousands remain without power Wednesday morning following gusty winds throughout West Virginia.
Much of the state remains under a Wind Advisory as wind gusts up to 55 MPH can be seen in some areas.
Power outages were one of the main concerns with these high winds.
As of 6:15 AM on Wednesday, a total of 9,004 customers are without power in the Mountain State.
Here are the official numbers from West Virginia electric utility companies:
Appalachian Power: 2,885 customer outages
FirstEnergy: 5,695 customer outages
Harrison Rural Electrification Association: 424 customer outages
