GLEN JEAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Three people are facing felony drug charges following a late-night traffic stop in Glen Jean, according to Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen.
Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department conducted the stop at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, after observing a minor traffic violation.
During the stop, deputies made contact with the vehicle’s occupants and reported observing behavior they believed was consistent with criminal activity.
According to the sheriff’s office, one passenger admitted to possessing a syringe used for methamphetamine consumption.
A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered approximately 170 grams of suspected methamphetamine concealed inside the dashboard area behind the radio.
As a result of the investigation, James Brian Prunest, Clayton Prunest and Megan Osborne were each charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy, both felony offenses.
All three individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
