RONCEVERTE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested Wednesday after having been identified based on tips from the public requested by authorities.
According to a Friday announcement from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, an arrest was made on Eric Matthew George, 25 years old of Ronceverte, West Virginia, for felony offenses of Breaking and Entering and Grand Larceny for his involvement in an incident which saw a Ronceverte car wash broken into.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department reached out to the public last Saturday seeking information pertaining to the break-in which reportedly led to the identification of Eric George for his involvement.
”Last Saturday, we came to you fine folks asking if you recognized individuals who were believed to have been involved in the breaking and entering of a car wash located in Ronceverte (Fairlea,) Greenbrier County, West Virginia,” read a statement from the department.
”Well as always, you came through and your tips greatly assisted us in locating one of those individuals.”
Eric Matthew George was was arraigned in Greenbrier County Magistrate Court on the charges of Breaking and Entering and Grand Larceny and was given an $8,000 bond.
Unable to post this bond, George was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await further proceedings, and is also being held currently for violation of the conditions of his parole.
