ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Twin brothers, each with a number of active warrants out of Florida, were arrested in Elkins on Wednesday.
According to reports from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, an anonymous tip received by Cpl. S.D. Kyle indicated that Keith Keene was staying at a residence off Central Street in Elkins, and that he was believed to have active warrants out of Florida.
Contact with the Sheriff’s Office of Putnam County Florida confirmed that Keene had at least five active warrants with nationwide extradition.
Sgt. B.W. Cogar, Cpl. S.D. Kyle, Dep. J.L. Wolfe, as well as the West Virginia State Police and Elkins Police Department responded to the provided location, where Keene answered the door and was placed under arrest.
The subject advised that his twin brother Kristopher was the only other person in the residence.
Kristopher Keene was located hiding in a small closet behind storage totes, and was placed under arrest.
Kristopher Keene, it was confirmed, had at least five active warrants out of Putnam County, Florida as well.
Both men were transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Rail to await extradition back to Putnam County Florida.
Charges faced include those of Robbery, Battery, Criminal Mischief, Domestic Battery, and Exploitation of an Elderly/Disabled Person (over $20,000.)Â
