UPDATE: June 2, 2021, at 1 pm – BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The identity of the man who was shot and later died has been released.
According to Bluefield Police, Jaquan Allen, 23, of Princeton, passed away from the shooting that took place on Memorial Ave. The suspect did turn himself in after the shooting. No charges have been filed yet.
The case will be turned over to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review, then presented to the grand jury.

BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Two individuals were involved in a shooting resulting in one person being sent to the hospital.
This incident happened around 5:04 pm on Sunday at the Memorial playground in Bluefield, West Virginia.
According to authorities, two cousins were involved in an argument, which resulted in one pulling out a gun and shooting the other.
The victim drove himself to Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
