OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Town of Oceana has announced their upcoming Christmas Parade set to take place next week.
The event, which will fall on Friday, December 3, 2022 was confirmed on Thursday in a release from the city.
Additionally, it was announced that the Veterans Day Parade originally scheduled to take place earlier this month would be held in conjunction with the Christmas Parade in a change not dissimilar to that decided upon by organizers of the City of Beckley’s Veterans Day and Christmas parades.
The Oceana Veterans Day Parade was initially set to be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 but was canceled due to poor weather conditions much the same as Beckley’s Veterans Day event.
The joint Christmas/Veterans Day Parade will begin lining up at 4:00pm on December 3 at Georgia’s Boutique, with the veterans themselves deciding whether the lineup will be along the street or behind the library.
