The West Virginia State Police shared the news on Tuesday that their cruiser made the Top 13 in America’s Best Looking Cruiser Contest. For eight years, the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) has facilitated the competition between state agencies as a fun way to allow community support and interaction with law enforcement in a positive manner.
From July 27 to August 3, people across the country had the opportunity to vote on the best-looking cruiser in the country.
Having kept voters updated on current rankings through Facebook throughout the competition, the AAST announced the Top 13 on Tuesday. Kentucky took this year’s title with 77,944 votes, followed by Ohio with 65,529. Last year’s winner, Georgia, came in third this year with 19,030 votes.
West Virginia snagged the eleventh spot with 11,375 votes, securing its place in this year’s AAST calendar. The 2022 calendar will be for sale in September through the AAST website. Calendar sales will benefit the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of member troopers.
An announcement will be posted on Facebook when the calendars are available for purchase.
The WVSP thanked all those who voted in the contest.
