Rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are expected by weeks end, with locally higher amounts possible.
This amount of rain will cause an increasing threat for flash flooding. Monitor the latest forecasts and be prepared to take action if you live in a flood prone area.

A front remains present over the area, with rounds of showers and embedded thunderstorms expected through Thursday night.
Periods of heavy rainfall are expected to occur, which may lead to localized flash flooding.
A flash flood watch remains in effect until early Friday morning. A cold front pushes through on Friday with showers and thunderstorms continuing. Flash flooding may continue to be a threat through Friday evening.
Brief dry weather expected on Saturday for areas north of I-64 but showers/thunderstorms are possible south of I-64. By Sunday chances of showers and thunderstorms return to much of the area.
