CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia American Water announced today the recipients of its fifth annual Bottle Filling Station program. This year, the company will provide touchless filling stations for reusable water bottles to 15 organizations throughout the state.
“By investing in sustainability initiatives such as our bottle filling station program, we are helping to eliminate single-use plastics that pollute our environment and shared water resources,” said Robert Burton, president of West Virginia American Water. “These bottle filling stations provide convenience, cost savings and promote proper hydration while encouraging West Virginians to carry reusable bottles.”
Since first launching this program in 2019, West Virginia American Water has provided 119 bottle filling stations to entities across West Virginia. This year’s program will provide a bottle filling station to the following organizations across the state:
Cabell County
- Cabell-Huntington Health Department (Huntington)
- St. Mary’s Medical Center (Huntington)
- Village of Barboursville Park (Barboursville)
Jefferson County
- C W Shipley Elementary School (Harper’s Ferry)
- Driswood Elementary School (Shenandoah Junction)
- Jefferson High School (Shenandoah Junction)
- North Jefferson Elementary School (Kearneysville)
- TA Lowery Elementary School (Shenandoah Junction)
- Jefferson County Parks and Recreation (Shenandoah Junction)
- Wildwood Middle School (Shenandoah Junction)
Kanawha County
- Mountaineer Montessori School (Charleston)
- Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia (Charleston)
- United Way of Central West Virginia (Charleston)
Mercer County
