HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing charges after striking a woman in the head, knocking her unconscious, tying her up, and threatening to kill her if she attempted to leave.
According to Huntington Police, on November 2, 2022, Robin Midkiff allegedly followed a female victim to a Speedway shop on W. 16th street in Huntington. The victim said she last remembers leaving the Speedway and Midkiff striking her in the back of her head, knocking her unconscious.
Midkiff then transported the victim without her consent to 957 Adams Avenue. The victim said she remembers waking up on a bed in an old flower shop. The victim said Midkiff threatened to kill her if she attempted to leave. She went on to say that a rope restrained her left wrist. Two hours went by, and police arrived at the 957 Adams Ave location after tracking the victim’s cell phone to this location. When police called out asking if anybody was inside, Midkiff threatened and terrorized to kill the woman if she made any noises.
Police later found the victim pinned with one arm between a wall.
Midkiff is charged with kidnapping. He is being held under no bond.
