CLEAR FORK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Westside High School recently made significant announcements regarding changes to the Renegade faculty, including the appointment of a new assistant principal, as well as a new head football coach.
Vendi Stable, with whom Westside students are already familiar for her expertise in the Spanish language arts and involvement in various school activities, has been announced as the new Assistant Principal at Westside High School.
“With tear filled eyes and my heart as full as possible, I am so blessed, proud, and excited to announce that I have been chosen to help serve and lead Westside Renegades as assistant principal starting the school year of 2022-2023,” said Stable in a statement given upon Friday’s announcement.
But Stable will not be the only familiar face taking on a new role in the upcoming year. It had also been announced that Westside High/Renegade Athletics alumnus, Varsity Assistant Coach, and educator Justin Cogar will be assuming the mantle of Head Football Coach for the Renegades in the upcoming season.
“I am honored and excited to announce that I’ve been hired as the Head Football Coach at Westside High School,” Cogar said following the announcement on Thursday.
“To be able to come back home and lead the program where I made so many great memories as a player is a dream come true. I have a lot of great people and mentors to thank for helping guide me into this position. I can’t wait to meet with our players and get straight to work!”
The announcement came alongside that of a new Facebook page dedicated to the Westside Renegades Football team, which can be found here.
