WHARTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – At the young age of five, Brooklyn Nicole Roop, resident of Wharton, West Virginia in Boone County, began learning how to play music. “Even from that age I could feel a strong connection that pulled me towards music,” Roop said.
Roop began by playing music in her church, boldly singing Bluegrass/Gospel, Southern Gospel, and Worship style songs. While she mostly plays guitar, her abilities far exceed one instrument. “I like to play guitar the best, but I can also play piano, mandolin, bass, drums, flute, ukulele, and the violin,” she said.
Now at sixteen years old, her deep faith continues to inspire her musical journey. She said, “For me, the main goal in my music career, is to reach lost souls. I plan to travel across the country, and to be able to share The Gospel through my music. As I got older, I realized that the connection I felt was the calling God has on my life.”
Her first single titled, ‘Call Out His Name’, was recently published on all music platforms including but not limited to YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, etc.
“I’m working on a few more projects for the future, and Lord’s Willing I’ll be releasing more very soon,” Roop said.
The purpose behind her new single, she said, is to “reach the lost, weary, broken-hearted, hurt and anyone who feels like there is no hope in their life.”
“On August 29, 2020, I decided to get baptized and accept Jesus for the first time in my heart sincerely,” Roop said. “I had fully surrendered to Jesus, and that’s when this song was given to me by God. I wrote it in roughly 10-15 minutes in my car, heading home from church.”
“All you have to do is simply ‘Call Out His Name’, repent, and believe in Jesus! He hears your prayers, but you have to be willing to fully surrender. You can be healed, set free, and saved by Him! This song truly is my personal testimony,” Roop said.
Nathan Stanley, the grandson of the Bluegrass legend Dr. Ralph Stanley, has assisted Roop by helping her record and publish some of her work.
Roop credits her family, friends, and followers for their support throughout all of her musical endeavors. “My family has always been my largest support system but Darlene Fowler, Nathan Stanley, Kevin Graley, Andrew Brunet, Jonathan Carpenter, and all of my family at MC1 Nashville have helped me tremendously,” she said
As her music career begins to take off, Roop hopes to establish a career that will flourish and also foster personal spiritual growth. “I pray I can go across the United States to share Jesus’ love. I simply am going to be patient, and wherever God leads me, that’s where I’ll go,” she said.
Miss Roop performs publicly, and her schedule is listed on her Facebook Page, ‘Brooklyn Nicole’. She regularly updates the page with newly scheduled events, recently published music, and more.
