WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Wheeling man was arrested Tuesday after a substantial amount of illegal substances were discovered on his person.
Reports from the Wheeling Police Department indicate that, around 11:00am on Tuesday, officers were serving an arrest warrant for a parole violation to an individual on River Road.
Upon searching the individual, a bag containing various types of drugs was discovered.
The bag contained over 30 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Richard Heimbach, 30 of Wheeling, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver.
He was transported to Northern Regional Jail and arraigned by a magistrate later, who set a cash bond at $10,000 on the drug charge, and no bond on the parole violation charge.
Heimbach has incurred legal issues in the past, including charges of 1st degree robbery and domestic violence in connection to a 2016 gas station robbery, and two additional domestic violence charges stemming from incidents earlier that year.
