Recently I’ve noticed that a social welfare organization called the “Americans for Prosperity” have been soliciting funds on Facebook. Before you give to this organization, you need to know a little about them, where they stand and who they support. Are they the type of conservative organization that true conservatives would want to align themselves with?
The words “Americans for prosperity” have a nice ring to it. I’m sure most all Americans are for prosperity just like most Americans would agree with the slogan that “Black Lives Matter,” because they do. However, the organization called “Black Lives Matter” has nothing to do with the slogan. On the contrary, according to a New York Post article, the organization stands for hate, which most Americans would not agree with.
In the same manner, the organization that calls itself Americans for Prosperity, in my opinion, aren’t really for the prosperity for all Americans. They’re only for extreme rich Americans like Billionaires who invest their money overseas and not in America. The organization is a political nonprofit formed with the backing of conservative billionaires David and Charles Koch.
The Americans for Prosperity claim to be conservatives but they’re registered as a social welfare organization. Sure, some of their issues are very similar to the Republican platform but they’re far from being Republicans. They are a Libertarian organization.
One could say that the Americans for Prosperity are Never Trumpers. They would not back President Trump in 2016 or in 2020 according to Fox News. In the same article, it mentions a tweet by President Donald Trump.
Trump tweeted, “The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade. I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more.”
Trump added, “I made them richer. Their network is highly overrated, I have beaten them at every turn. They want to protect their companies outside the U.S. from being taxed, I’m for America First & the American Worker – a puppet for no one. Two nice guys with bad ideas.”
The long-standing conservative Koch network, which did not support President Donald Trump in the presidential elections, also signaled that it would be willing to back Democratic lawmakers on issues that reflect the organization’s priorities.Again, they are not Republicans. They are Libertarians. They have even been known to back Democrats.
Referring to the Koch brothers’ ongoing lack of support for Trump, Steve Bannon said “they were the first people to put the knife in [Trump’s] back.”
The Koch brothers are globalist according to Peter Navarro’s book “In Trump Time.” A globalist is someone who believes in a one world economy. That’s why the Koch brothers and the Americans for Prosperity oppose President Trump’s “Make American Great Again” agenda.
For those of you who are old enough, you may recall David Koch (now deceased) was a Libertarian candidate for Vice President against President Ronald Reagan. David was fairly liberal on drugs and abortion!
According to PolitiFact, statements by the Americans for Prosperity are lies 42% of the time, mostly false 31% of the time, pants on fire 10% of the time, half true 10% of the time, just mostly true 5% of the time, and NEVER entirely true.
Billionaire Charles Koch, Board Chair of the Americans for Prosperity until recently, has been increasingly distancing his multiple organizations from Trump and his supporters in Congress according to Fox Business News.
So, do you want to support an organization that is for open borders, a one world economy, and opposes the policies of President Trump? My advice would be, if you’re a Trump supporter or a true conservative, stay away from them. Don’t give them any donations and beware of politicians they support.
