Willadean Lucille Hammonds, 74 of Princeton died Friday, September 15, 2023, at Westwood Center in Bluefield, Virginia.
Born in Princeton on September 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Duncan and Myrl Higginbotham Duncan. Willadean was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to Gospel music and Loretta Lynn songs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Irene Duncan, Lucille Kirby, and Mary Comer, one brother, Junior Duncan, her grandson, Roger Lee Hazelwood, Jr. and her great grandson, Cayden Hazelwood.
Survivors include her three children, Roger Lee Hazelwood, Sr., Kenneth Hazelwood and wife Sherie and Lisa Hazelwood and husband Ricky Swiger. Sister, Mary Bailey. Grandchildren, Eric Hazelwood and wife Emily, Ashley Hazelwood, Stephanie Davis who also was her caregiver, Christian Hazelwood, Joshua Hazelwood, Kali Brooke, Savannah Swiger, Emily Swiger, Kayla Hazelwood, Arabella Hammonds, and Sophia Hammonds. Great Grandchildren, Corbin Hazelwood, Sophie Hazelwood, Colton Bentlee and Madison Comer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
