William “Big Bill” Compton, went home to be with the Jesus on May 12, 2021 following a long illness. Born on October 26, 1969, Bill was the son of the late Lester J. Compton and Bonnie A. Roberts Compton.
Bill loved living life. He was an outdoorsman loving fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was the apple of his family’s eye. He loved his church and his church family. Bill was a charter member of the New Richmond Community Church. He was a generous soul, whom would help his fellow man with anything needed. Bill worked for SGS as a Lab tech with 13 years of service.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Daniel G. Compton and Lester Dewayne Compton, and his grandson Matthew L. Sizemore.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 25 years, Lora Orndorff Compton, three sons: Lonnie Orndorff, Kenneth Orndorf, and Samuel Compton all of the home. One sister Pamela L. Compton of Oak Hill, and one grandson Hunter Orndorff of Pineville, and a host of extended family and friends.
