WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – Newly-elected West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans has been federally charged in his role for entering the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday. U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin for the District of Columbia announced during a press conference.
“We have just, I just received word that we have a signed complaint … against a delegate who serves in the West Virginia Legislature,” said Ken Cole, first assistant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia.
Fifteen federal charges have been filed so far.
Evans is charged with entering a restricted area and entering the U.S. Capitol.
