CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of 10:00 a.m., November 3, 2020, there have been 798,261 total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 25,593 total cases and 469 deaths.
DHHR has confirmed the deaths of an 86-year old male from Wood County, an 89-year old male from Wood County, a 62-year old male from Harrison County, an 81-year old male from Barbour County, a 63-year old female from Wetzel County, a 91-year old female from Randolph County, an 83-year old female from Cabell County, an 81-year old male from Jefferson County, an 80-year old female from Jefferson County, a 76-year old female from Jefferson County, and a 79-year old male from Jefferson County.
“Each death reported is a somber reminder that COVID-19 is still among us,” said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “We send our sympathy to their loved ones and ask all West Virginians to follow the guidelines to protect each other.”

As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested. Such is the case of Gilmer and Nicholas counties in this report.
