WVU Tech women’s basketball coach Anna Kowalska confirmed to Lootpress Wednesday that she would be leaving the program to take over as the head coach at Life University, an NAIA school in Marietta, Georgia.
Kowalska had been with the Lady Golden Bears since 2013 and took over as the head coach in 2018 after Jenna Everhart stepped down that offseason. Under Kowalska’s watch Tech made three consecutive NAIA National tournament appearances as she compiled a 61-26 record. She also led the Lady Golden Bears to River States Conference championships in 2019 and 2021.
Kowalska held the head coaching position in volleyball up until the end of the 2018 season when she resigned to focus on basketball.
