HURRICANE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A lucky Powerball player in Putnam County is holding a $1 million winning ticket.
The ticket was purchased at Par Mar #17 on Main Street in the Hurricane area.
It matched all five white ball numbers drawn on Wednesday—11, 13, 28, 51, and 58—but did not match the Powerball number, which was 1.
The winner did not purchase the Power Play option, which could have increased their prize.
The West Virginia Lottery advises the ticket holder to sign the back of the ticket and call 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim their winnings.
The current Powerball jackpot stands at $378 million. Tickets cost $2 each, or $3 with the Power Play option.
The next drawing is set for Saturday, and tickets must be purchased before 9:59 p.m. to be eligible.
