WHITE HALL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 14-year-old girl had to be flown to the hospital on Friday after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle.
According to the Valley Volunteer Fire Department, on Friday at approximately 6 PM crews were alerted for a personal injury accident off Brichview Drive in White Hall.
Numerous calls came in reporting that a 14-year-old girl riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on Route 250, Whitehall Boulevard.
First responders arrived on the scene to locate a patient on the ground in the roadway with visible injuries. VVFD says that the girl was able to speak and was alert.
Firefighters assisted the Marion County Rescue Squad with patient care, packaging, and loading. Marion County Rescue Squad then transported the patient to an awaiting Healthnet helicopter.
The White Hall Police Department was also on the scene.
