SAINT ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A North Carolina man faces several charges including First-Degree Murder following an arrest on Thursday.
The U.S. Department of Justice confirms that the U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force apprehended Antwon Jamal Davis – 20 years old of Fayetteville, NC – at 12:30PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 in the Saint Albans area of Kanawha County.
Davis was reportedly wanted out of Hoke County, NC for First-Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Felony Conspiracy, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
Davis was wanted by authorities for a shooting which occurred on February 23, 2022, in the 2600 block of Lindsay Road near Raeford, Hoke County, NC. 18-year-old Joshua Demetrius Crooks Jr. was left deceased as a result of the shooting.
Currently, Davis is incarcerated at South Central Regional Jail awaiting extradition back to Hoke County, NC. Assistance was provided in the investigation by the USMS Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force and Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
