PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Leon resident won $20,000 playing a West Virginia Lottery scratch-off game, according to lottery officials.
The winning ticket was purchased on Jan. 20, 2026. The winner, identified by the West Virginia Lottery as Dorothy F., won the $20,000 prize playing the Keno Go game.
The ticket was sold at Stokes Grocery, located in Buffalo.
West Virginia Lottery officials remind players that all prizes are subject to applicable state and federal taxes.
Proceeds from lottery ticket sales benefit education, senior programs, tourism, and other public initiatives across the state.
Lottery officials encourage players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and to claim prizes through authorized West Virginia Lottery offices.
