BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Many filled the streets of downtown Beckley on October 4 for the city’s 34th Annual Chili Night, celebrating local talent, food, and community spirit.
Beckley Events thanked all participants and volunteers who helped make the event a success, and announced winners in several categories.
The Iron Order motorcycle club took home multiple top honors, including People’s Choice with 389 coins, Most Samples Served with 1,275 tastings, and first place in Best Spicy/Hot and Best Specialty (Most Unique/Creative)categories.
In the Restaurant/Catering division, Texas Steakhouse earned first place, followed by Texas Roadhouse and Fosters.
Among non-restaurant businesses, 103CIR won first, with Lowes and Mad Hatter placing second and third.
For organizations, Raleigh County Special Olympics claimed first, with First Baptist Church and Iron Orderrounding out the top three.
In the schools category, Raleigh County Schools took first, followed by Valley College and WVU Tech.
Other awards included Most Exciting Booth, won by WTNJ, and Most Attractive Booth, awarded to Mad Hatter.
Beckley Events expressed appreciation to all chili cooks, judges, performers, and attendees who helped continue the city’s long-running tradition.
