WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – A $50,000 winning lottery ticket was sold in West Virginia following Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, according to lottery officials.
The drawing was held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with winning numbers 11, 26, 27, 53, 55 and a Powerball of 12. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
The West Virginia ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball, qualifying for the $50,000 prize. Officials have not yet announced the specific location where the winning ticket was sold.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot was estimated at $209 million, with a cash value of $95.3 million. The jackpot-winning ticket for that drawing was sold outside of West Virginia.
With the jackpot now claimed, the estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing resets to $20 million, with an estimated cash value of $9.1 million.
