MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 71-year-old male died in a house fire in McDowell County this past Saturday.
The fire occurred at a home in Squire, McDowell County, around 1:30 A.M on April 19th. The home is located on Skygusty Highway. Multiple fire departments responded, as well as investigators with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office. Those investigators confirmed one male was found deceased after the fire was extinguished.
Due to the severity of the fire, the cause has been ruled as undetermined by the WVSFMO.
The victim has been sent to the WV Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification and autopsy.
