BRIDGEPORT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Antero Foundation hosted its 8th annual Hats, Hearts, and Horses Gala, a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser to support community focused organizations across West Virginia and southeastern Ohio. Hosted at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, the event raised $169,000. To date, the benefit has raised over $800,000.
âThe annual benefit has truly become a cherished tradition â one that brings people together in a shared commitment to uplift our communities across West Virginia and Ohio,â said Al Schopp, President of the Antero Foundation Board. âItâs incredibly moving to see the outpouring of generosity from our community partners and to feel the deep appreciation for the local programs that are creating lasting, positive change for all of us.â
Established in 2020, the Antero Foundation is committed to supporting charitable organizations within the region, including Mountaineer Food Bank, GameChangerWV, The Salvation Army, and local United Way organizations. To date, the Foundation has contributed over $3.9 million to initiatives aligned with its five core focus areas: Education, Environmental Causes, Community Development, Health and Human Services, and Arts and Culture.
âEach year, this event is anticipated by our employees, contractors, partners, and friendsâfrom the thrill of the race to the celebration that follows,â said Stephanie Goff, Public Affairs Coordinator at Antero and Program Chair for the Gala. âHowever, at its core, this event is about supporting organizations that place community first, and we are incredibly proud to stand behind that mission.â
