RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – New River Community and Technical College will host the 8th Annual New River CTC Invitational, a multi-day high school basketball tournament, from January 5 through January 10 at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
The weeklong tournament will feature boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams from across West Virginia.
Games are scheduled to begin Monday, January 5, and continue through Saturday, January 10, with daily tip-offs starting as early as 2:45 p.m. A Special Olympics game is also planned for Saturday.
Schools participating in the tournament include Webster County, Martinsburg, Nitro, South Charleston, Princeton, Greenbrier East, Summers County, Woodrow Wilson, Liberty, Shady Spring, and several others, highlighting a wide range of basketball programs from throughout the state.
Organizers say the invitational provides student-athletes with a competitive environment while giving the community a full week of high school basketball. The event is presented by Little General Stores and Southern West Virginia Chevy Dealers.
