CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Those traveling via Amtrak in West Virginia this morning should expect delays.
Amtrak’s eastbound 50 Cardinal which runs three days a week through southern West Virginia is currently running nearly two hours late as of 7:30 AM Wednesday.
The train runs from Chicago to New York making the following stops in West Virginia: Huntington, Charleston, Montgomery, Thurmond, Prince, Hinton, Alderson, and White Sulphur Springs.
The train had suffered equipment issues before departing Chicago which initially delayed the train, but issues along the route have delayed it even longer.
The westbound 51 Cardinal from New York to Chicago is currently on time as of 7:30 AM.
