FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Delegate Tom Fast, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee has been elected to the 15th Judicial Circuit in Division 1.
Fast has been serving in the House of Delegates representing Fayette County since 2014 when Republicans took control of the House and Senate.
Fast was promoted from vice chair to chairman of the House Judiciary Committee following the resignation of Moore Capito who resigned from the House of Delegates at the end of 2023 to focus on his gubernatorial campaign.
Fast defeated his opponent, southern West Virginia lawyer Kathleen Murphy, by over ten points when the final precincts came in late Tuesday night.

Tom Fast: 55.18% | 3,715 votes
Kathleen Murphy: 44.82% | 3,018 votes
The Honorable Tom Ewing won reelection to the 15th Judicial Circuit in Division 2. He ran unopposed.
