The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Dutch Miller and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the ninth week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Feb 14 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

Week 8 had two winners as weather led to the postponement of most games throughout Week 7.
- Lacey Goodson, Independence – Goodson helped Indy to three wins, scoring 29 points in a win over Liberty.
- Gracie Harvey, Summers County – Harvey scored 36 points in a win over Greenbrier West and 18 against PikeView, scoring her 1,000th career point.
- Kennedy Stewart, Greenbrier East – Stewart helped East to a 3-0 week, pouring in 30 points against James Monroe.
- Riley Meadows, PikeView – Meadows hit double figures three times, scoring 23 against Beckley.
- Cadee Blackburn, Wyoming East – Blackburn hit double figures three times with 23 points against Chapmanville.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Treadway scored 22 points in a win for West this past week.
- Kaitlyn Lester, Westside – Lester scored 16 points in a key win over Indy.
- Kierston Rozell, Meadow Bridge – Rozell scored 26 points in back to back games, both wins for Meadow Bridge.
- Maggie Boroski, James Monroe – Boroski scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a win over Montcalm and added 16 points in a win over River View.
