The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Dutch Miller and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the third week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Thursday, Dec. 28 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Kaitlyn Lester, Westside – Lester scored 12 points in a win over Tug Valley.
- Kennedy Stewart, Greenbrier East – Stewart netted 12 points and 11 rebounds in a win.
- Maddie Fields, Greenbrier West – Fields scored 23 in a win for the Cavaliers.
- Rumor Barnhouse, Midland Trail – Barnhouse scored 24 in a Midland Trail win this past week.
- Avery Lilly, Summers County – Lilly scored 11 in a Summers County win over Bluefield.
- Addisyn Sarver, Princeton – Carver netted 16 points in a Princeton win over Graham, Va.
- Cara Smith, Oak Hill – Smith grabbed 13 rebounds against Hurricane and 18 against Capital, scoring nine points in each contest.
