Patsy was the daughter of the late Burl and Eva Mae Farmer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Freda Farmer, Betty Huff and brother-in-law, Paul Huff, her in-laws, Virginia McGlothlin and Charles Noah Covey, her sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Frank Massie, and a nephew, Rex Farmer, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband and the love of her life of 56 years, Charles Ray Covey; four daughters, Angela (Greg) Lilly, Bobbie (Mike) Wood, Connie (Leroy) Price, and Dianna (Stephen Stacy) Ramsey; her four granddaughters, Janet Dawn (Joe) Fontilla, Hailie (Dylan Cox) Acord, Autumn Ramsey, and Ava Ramsey; her five grandsons, Nicholas Lilly, Aaidan Ramsey, Tyler Ramsey, Lane Wood and Jakob Wood, brothers, Marvin (Lilia) Farmer, Arlie (Daria) Farmer, Kile (Nancy) Farmer, and Rex (Nola) Farmer. Her brother-in-law, Donald (Donna) Covey and sister-in-law, Debbie (Buddy) Matics. Patsy also had many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many, friends. We cannot forget her fur baby, Clarabell.
Patsy was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
Patsy loved the outdoors, camping, and fishing. She also loved flowers, and birds. She most loved being with her family.
Per Patsy’s wishes there will be a brief service at 1:00PM Friday, April 19, 2024 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with her Pastor Greg Lilly officiating and Brother Luke Richmond before going to the graveside for a final farewell at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Covey, Dylan Cox, Joe Fontilla, Paul Hundley, Leroy Price, and Stephen Stacy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Wood and Gary Watson.
