CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Thursday lane closure has significantly altered the flow of traffic in the Clarksburg area.
Reports indicate that the outside lanes on US 50 near the 2nd Street Exit in Clarksburg have become the travel lanes, shifting the flow of traffic.
The City of Clarksburg has advised that vehicles entering onto US 50 from Chestnut will be required to stop before entering. This is due to traffic traveling east on US 50 merging into the right lane.
Motorists traveling in the area have been urged to exercise caution due to confusion brought about as a result of these changes as well as anticipated congestion in the area during peak travel hours.
