TAZEWELL, VA (LOOTPRESS)– The search is on for vendors and volunteers for Tazewell County’s Octobrewfest scheduled for early October.
This is the fifth year Octobrewfest comes to Tazewell. It’s held on the first Saturday in October on Main Street and features craft beers, wines, and ciders. Because of Covid, the festival wasn’t able to kick off in 2020.
Sponsored by the Tazewell Chamber of Commerce, Octobrewfest is their premier event in the heart of Appalachia. The festival also features live music, food, and so much more.
The Tazewell Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Lori Stacy, hopes to find more craft and food vendors and volunteers to help around the festival.
“We’re looking for volunteers, sponsors, vendors to be a part of it. Even if they’re a food that wants to park on Main Street,” said Stacy.
Octobrewfest is one of the most profitable events for the Tazewell Chamber of Commerce. Funds from this event help the commerce in many ways with budgets and other events for the community.
A kickoff launch party for Octobrewfest sponsored by Back of the Dragon and the Graham Taphouse happens on Friday night, the day before the festival. Other events are in the works, and news will come out once details are finalized. The Chamber of Commerce is also finalizing ticket prices and ways to purchase tickets. The festival starts at 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturday, October 2.
