HEDGESVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department (BCSO) has arrested a Hedgesville man in connection with a fatal shooting on Tuesday, October 29.
According to the BCSO, Deputies responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Tub Run Hollow Road.

Upon arrival, investigators began their inquiry, which led to the arrest of 25-year-old John Alexander Congo.
He is accused of fatally shooting his father, 68-year-old Anthony John Congo.
After securing search warrants, investigators seized multiple items of evidence from the scene.
John Congo was transported to Eastern Regional Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
