WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Centerville, Illinois man was arrested on June 28 following a domestic incident that began at a local motel and ended at a gas station on Emerson Avenue in Wood County.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to the BFS gas station after receiving a report of a domestic dispute in progress.

Upon arrival, a female at the scene told the deputy that she and a male subject had been staying at Motel 6 when an argument escalated.
She alleged that the man grabbed her by the throat and threw her phone, breaking it.
The woman left the motel and went to the gas station to call 911.
Deputies located the suspect, identified as Montenez Keon Gardner, 42, of South 50th Street, Centerville, Illinois, at Motel 6.
He was arrested on charges of strangulation.
Gardner was transported to the Holding Center, where he was processed and arraigned before a magistrate.
