WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – President Donald Trump took aim at some of his onetime supporters this week, calling them “weaklings” for pushing for more information related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump accused them of falling for Democratic attacks and said he no longer wants their support.

In a pointed message posted to Truth Social, Trump claimed the renewed focus on Epstein is part of a political smear campaign.
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”
The comments come as Republicans in Congress move to pressure the Department of Justice to release more information about the Epstein case.
Trump dismissed the controversy as a distraction.
“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” he wrote.
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”
Trump’s remarks mark a sharp break with some of his most vocal allies, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, who recently called for more transparency in the matter during an interview.
Other Republicans, including Reps. Anna Paulina Luna, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Lauren Boebert, have demanded action ranging from subpoenas to the appointment of a special counsel.
The Epstein controversy resurfaced after the Justice Department stated that no “client list” exists and that no further documents would be released — a conclusion that has prompted frustration across the political spectrum.
Trump’s reaction, however, signals a growing divide between the president and segments of his base who remain focused on the issue.
