BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley Police Department officers are investigating a shooting that left one man critically injured Tuesday evening in Beckley.
According to police, officers responded shortly after 6:00 p.m. on April 28 to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Temple Street.
When they arrived, they discovered a male victim who had been shot multiple times.
The victim was initially transported to a local hospital in critical condition before being flown by helicopter to another medical facility for further treatment. His identity has not been released at this time.
Detectives are actively canvassing the area and speaking with witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
