MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Montgomery Fire Department is asking for the public’s help in recovering a missing piece of equipment that was lost during a response earlier today.
According to the department, one of its engines lost a Stihl chainsaw around 1:10 p.m. while en route to a call for service near Eagle Church on Route 61.

A person in a black SUV reportedly picked up the chainsaw.
Fire officials are asking whoever retrieved the item to return it to the Montgomery Fire Department as soon as possible.
If the chainsaw is not returned in a timely manner, the department says law enforcement will be involved.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the fire department directly.
